Online advertising and e-mail sales, trafficking, serving and reporting are all part of the Sonic service for website owners. We are keen to find the right solution to serve a publisher's needs, and work with clients ranging from large, experienced sites, to those smaller sites dipping their toe in to the commercial market for the first time. We are very flexible and can work on both a project by project basis, or provide publishers with a complete advertising and e-mail solution, both in sales and management as well as in trafficking, serving and reporting.
As non-advertising revenue streams begin to emerge through online retail development, so Sonic Commercial adds an additional managed revenue source for publishers. The additional depth of understanding that we have stems from our own steep learning curve as a publisher, so our systems have been tried and tested. In addition, we fully understand the need for transparency and accountability, which we deliver through our advertising and e-mail tracking, serving, and reporting company Trafficksolutions. This is also offered as a standalone service to publishers looking to manage their sales process entirely in house.
Sonic Internet TV
Sonic provides publishers with a new online opportunity through the Sonic TV Network which is being rolled out across client sites. The SonicTV network features exclusive content, including interviews and sessions filmed both by Sonic's own TV team and by Network sites themselves.
Sonic provide websites with a ready made content solution and fully supported technical support.
Advertising revenue opportunities include pre and post roll and supporting digital formats working in conjunction with the video.

Advertisers
As the demands of advertisers increase, publishers are expected to provide a more professional and increasingly sophisticated service. Publishers need to keep abreast of the demands in terms of advertising placements, performance monitoring, and specialist targeting requirements, which is a full time job in itself. As the supply of sites increases, so does the competitiveness of the market for new entrants, and for some of the older participants whose systems have not kept up.
Many independent websites do not have the resources of an advertising sales force, nor the technology to serve, and then track and report on advertising campaigns, given that they start due to their founders' passion and interest in a particular area, rather than for commercial gain.
We exist to enable these website owners to focus on all the important content which maintains the interest and loyalty of the user base, whilst we fulfil the role of the sales force. For larger sites, we are happy to work alongside the in house team, acting as an additional revenue source.

Most publishers look at advertising first and foremost, often overlooking the potential in their user database.
Alongside on site advertising Sonic can also increase revenues for sites with e-mail sales. We have developed an e-mail database management, delivery, and reporting service which will enable website owners to manage their own databases and profile their users, target accordingly, and report - both to themselves and their clients - for newsletters and third party commercial e-mails. We can apply this solution to any publisher or independent database.
Often independent databases do not have large enough databases to be of interest to the bigger commercial users of e-mail marketing, and as such, we are best able to get regular e-mail business if we sell the audience on an aggregated basis. We have the ability for each site to have its own database, and the system allows us to count against a specific demographic across a number of sites, and deliver a critical mass to larger advertisers.
Adserving
Ad trafficking and serving is normally part of the integrated publisher offering from Sonic, but it can also be offered as a standalone service.
Effective and timely management of webpage ad tags is critical to any online advertising sales team. As part of the Sonic Group, the Trafficksolutions team translate the targeting requirements of a sales team in to the appropriate adserver set up. Our implementation objectives are to optimise publisher revenue whilst streamlining technical time in the maintenance of campaigns.
Commercial Services
In the same way that Sonic helps publishers build revenues through advertising and e-mail sales and management, so opportunities are presenting themselves for further revenue from retail relationships. As the consumer grows in confidence to shop online, so sites will need to develop relationships with new suppliers and software developers. We are working with a number of back end retail providers to provide a fully integrated managed service.
Joint Ventures
In many instances a site owner does not have the resources to stay abreast of developments to stay competitive. Sites can date easily and the technical infrastructure and staffing costs are often too expensive to maintain. On a case basis Sonic will consider joint ventures where we handle design and technical management, leaving the site owner to focus on content and marketing.
